Community and Volunteer experience:

My past and current volunteer experience includes the following appointed or elected positions:

Town of Flower Mound Planning and Zoning Commission (2006-current)
The current Town council appointed me to the Commission in 2006.  My responsibilities include recommending the boundaries of the various zoning districts and appropriate regulations to be enforced; recommend approval or denial of zoning changes; hear, recommend, or determine any matter relating to zoning, planning, or subdivision control under Town’s Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. 

FM Fire Department Rehab Team (2008-current)
This is a new organization, which will provide rehab services to Fire Department Personnel as needed. 

Town of Flower Mound CERT – Team Trinity (2005-current)
The Flower Mound Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a part of the Citizen Corps Council initiative under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to train citizens to respond in time of disaster.  Continuing training includes disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operation, light search and rescue, CERT organization, disaster psychology, and terrorism.

Wichita Creek Estates HOA President (2005-2007)
Instrumental in obtaining bids, contractors, legal advice, and insurance claims to repair the brick HOA property wall, a $190,000 problem that had been plaguing the neighborhood for a number of years.  In addition, performed all duties associated with representing neighbors.

Women of Flower Mound (2006-current)
This organization participates in fund raising activities throughout the year to benefit our community.  We also volunteer for community activities such as the Easter Sunrise Service on the Mound, the Independence Day Children's Parade and the Holiday Stroll. 

Chaperone Coordinator - McKamy Middle School Band Department (2005-current)
Responsibilities include arranging appropriate chaperones for various events, both on and off campus.

Executive PTA Board – Liberty Elementary (2002-2003)
School opened in 2002, sat on first Executive PTA board as Historian.
